About Me
G'day mate,
I'm a Physiotherapist with two masters degrees (Manual Therapy and Sports Physiotherapy). I'm originally from The Netherlands where I completed my Physiotherapy course at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam in 2010. Soon after that, I started my Master of Science degree in Manual Therapy at the SOMT University and graduated in 2014. At the same university, I graduated as a MSc Sports Physiotherapist in 2017. During these first years I followed post-graduate courses of Lorimer Moseley, Carl Askling, Greg Lehman, Adam Meakins and Peter O'Sullivan. I've always worked in a private practice setting and use the BioPsychoSocial approach to the best of my abilities.
I have great interest in musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, sports injuries and orthopaedic rehabilitation and witnessed over thirty orthopaedic operations. In early 2018, my girlfriend and I moved to Australia where I started working at a private practice in Adelaide. Besides that, I started working as a volunteer at the Body in Mind research group at the University of South Australia where we conduct research on Cognitive Flexibility.
If you are looking for a mentor, I would be very happy to have a chat and explore possibilities.
